The Association is devoted solely to the interests of the private pilot on the Isle of Man and to those who have the well-being of private aviation at heart.

Originally formed in 1980, the Association is a Company Limited by Guarantee. There is a broad base of members, ranging from low-houred students to senior pilots including Flying Instructors, Microlight Pilots, Ex-fighter Pilots and ex R.A.F. flyers.
